Emil Friedrich Rimensberger fonds
The estate of the trade union functionary, editor and diplomat Emil Friedrich Rimensberger was donated to the Archive of Contemporary History by his widow Petronella Rimensberger and the painter Rudolf Zehnder in 1981.
A generous donation in memory of the inventor formed the basis for the Emil Friedrich Rimensberger Fund. In 1984 and 1985, the endowment capital was increased by further contributions from the donors.

Activity
The fund promotes the securing, indexing and evaluation of the estate of Emil Friedrich Rimensberger (1894-1962). His extensive diary from the years 1927-1962, which is part of the collection, has been fully digitized and is accessible online.
The Fund also promotes the archive as a modern service and research center for contemporary history. For this reason, the Fund's Board of Trustees decided in 2019 to support a multi-year project to index so-called old holdings in the Political Contemporary History collection.
